"es ist physik" is the result of a collaborative work in which Miriam Hartung and Alvar Bohrmann simultaneously worked on a freehand drawing using tufting guns from two opposite sides. Only their own perspective was visible to each person during the creation of this joint project.
At the heart of the artwork is the exchange and inspiration between the two artists. Throughout the manufacturing process, there is a constant reaction to each other's actions. Although there is a clear separation between their respective areas of work – each person on one side, but simultaneously – no clear attributions can be made in the final piece. Different aspects merge together: painting and drawing, line and surface, yours and mine.
